Announcing: GSU Student Project Seeking Real Companies

The next semester starts this week for the Social Media Marketing and SEO course I teach at Georgia State University (and to think I started writing the course in 2010!). As always, I’m looking forward to it.

My class has always focused on real-world brands, projects and measuring actual web traffic. This semester I plan to make it even more real-world, with real company contacts. Therefore I am seeking local, actual companies and projects for my student teams to audit, write case studies and recommendations regarding social media marketing and search engine optimization. Interested? What we would need would be:

  1. A company/brand with an existing digital presence and social media campaign
  2. The original marketing plan and data results from these
  3. A primary contact who my students could ask questions of throughout the semester

What the company or brand would receive would be:

  1. A written case study at semester’s end which the company could use for their own self-promotion or validation
  2. A competitive analysis via web tools detailing competitor sites and traffic
  3. Written social media marketing plan recommendations from the students, resulting from the case study analysis
  4. The students wouldn’t actually be doing social media communications for the company/brand

So if interested please contact me asap! Class starts January 12 so I need to lock the projects and contacts in. Thanks for your support!
